So i i've been breaking axle shafts on my dana30 often. 2 shafts in 3 trips this year. i'm running 35" boggers but i have a 2.5l and i have a very light foot.

So while working one day on a sunday morning, i was on my club forum looking for axle shafts and i finally made the commitment to go to 1 tons. front is a chevy dana 60 and the rear is a ford. both are geared to 4.10.

plans.
5.86 or numerically higher gearing 4.56
Tires TBA 37" red label krawlers 42" irok stikies
lockers - lincoln or detroit? both
Plan on running stock shafts and not going up to 35spline. going to 35 spline and poly performance drive flange
6 inch stretch (93.4 + 4”rear + 2” front= 99.4” so call it 100” thinking of going all the way to 105"
Comp cut rear?
triangulated 4-link (still looking into that)
my own custom long arms and custon transfer skid
DD machine 231/300 doubler atlas 2 speed
Custom wooded shifter knob.
DIY 16.5 beadlocks h2's
Fuel cell and all that jazz.

I'll probably do the build this winter in a building at my work. I don't want to miss a season of wheeling.

2000 TJ 2.5l 60/14b 4.56 lincoln/detroit atlas2 5:1, 89:1, 3 link front/4 link rear, full hydro, fox 2.5's, 42" irok stickies and low riding

if i did a 14bolt, i'd have to shave it and i don't have the skills or the money to pay for that skill.

You will be very happy you went 1 ton.
35 spline is good.
If you can afford it: think ARB.
