We bought a GMC diesel, so the burb is no longer needed. The following is a history and known condition when I bought it. Jim then Al are the previous owners. 1988 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 Silverado * 190,000 Miles * 7.4L (454) V8 * TH400 Automatic Transmission, rebuilt with only ~6000-7000 miles on it * Engine rebuilt 4 years ago (or so) * 4" custom suspension lift, rides smooth!(Rancho 9000's) * Headliner replaced (no sagging!) 2 years ago, perfect condition * Both front captains chairs re-padded and upolstered. They look and feel brand new! * Three-Rows of COMFORTABLE seating! (3rd row is removable, 2nd row folds down) * Factory floormats, carpet is in great shape. * Both rows of seating in the back are in perfect condition * With the 3rd row removed, and the 2nd row folded down you can fit a queen sized futon in the back with about 2 feet of extra length to spare! * New ignition key and cylinder * Aftermarket tachometer added to steering column * White * Heavy tint on rear windows * Air Conditioning (including separate Rear A/C!) * Power Steering * Power Windows * Power Locks * Tilt Steering Wheel * Cruise Control * AM/FM Cassette * Tow Package * Aluminum wheels and 33" tires * Owners Manual * Spare hoses, belts, and parts included * Some paint blemishes and rust, but nothing DEEP that would require bondo or metal reconstruction. The body is in GREAT condition. In addition, since I've had it... Passed CA smog. Front brakes turned, pads replaced. Power steering fluid flushed. Brake fluid flushed. Fuel induction service performed (fuel injection cleaninng) Oil cooler hoses replaced. Power steering pressure hose replaced. No significant leaks from anything. I've put maybe 1000-1500 miles on it since I bought it from Al. This thing is an excellent tow rig/mini camper, small school bus. I'll sell it for the same $4000 I paid for it. Pics here... http://www.bsharah.com/ForSale.aspx?dir=1988_Suburban ...thanks Al.

If I'd taken it to Ocotillo Wells last weekend instead of the truck, I'd have stayed and rode the wind out rather than come home. We'd have just put the air mattress in the back...plenty of room. I'd keep the damn thing if I had somewhere to park it.

Can't say enough good things about this rig. Had a lot of great times in it! <wipes a tear>
