My nephue Ross bagged a nice elk in nothern Elco Co. Nevada. My brother Matt helped him pack it out.
Matt's e-mal to me... "Check this out! Ross got his archery elk in Nevada. It took eight years to draw this tag and he filled it on the second morning of the hunt. He got the shot at 35 yards through the main artery. It went down almost immediately. He had two pairs of smaller bulls fighting about 20 yards in front of him and one bull about five yards over his left shoulder. This bull and one larger bull walked past the fighting bulls and Ross got a shot on the vitals and took it! Got it all on video with his head camera. It took us ten trips and 13 hours to pack it off the mountain. It was worth every step! It green scored at about 350!"

Nice kill. I would hate to have to pack that thing out of there. It would have made easier if his uncle had a jeep to help him out.

The area is wide open but they passed some ranches to get there. They were about 40 miles south of Idaho in the Jarbridge area.
Got no info on the cam, sorry.

Very cool!
