Some of you are probably wondering why I got out of Land Use for a while.

I am going to tell you why.

Are you ready, this will amaze you!!

I got out because I was getting tired of getting emails about how I was the “scrounge” of the earth and that I was an Off “Raider” of Public Land. My wife was also asked how she could live with some one that “raped the earth”!

Did you guys and gals read that right?

Yep! I “thought” you did!! That is EXACTLY how those quotes were sent to me and my wife via email!!

Some of you will sit there and think, people actually think like this?

Yep, they sure do!!

We “thought” we could voice “our opinions” and let it be.

NOPE!! WE “thought” wrong!!

I get them at least once a week. Sometimes, two or three a day!

I guess that people like my wife and I are targets for “some people that don’t have intestinal fortitude to tell us who they are”. Yep, I said US!! My wife is getting tired of this stuff too! There for a while I “thought” WE were immune to emails like this.

I got asked an outstanding question today while discussing Land Use Issues.

Do you think the “Greenies” are on our Bulletin Boards reading what we talk about?

For lack of better terms, Hell Yes!! I know for a fact that I am on their Boards, Email Lists and Mailing Lists!!

DUH!! How else to know your “enemies” intentions other than monitoring their Boards?

This a personal message!

This is to who ever has been writing me emails saying, “I need to be eradicated from the Earth”!

Look, you want to have a sit down discussion, I have no problem with that! I have no problem listening to your side of the “argument”, as long as you listen to my side!!

If you don’t have anything else to say other than “you leak oil all over the place and don’t respect nature”, please, quit sending me your emails stating such!!

End of my personal message.

Now, here comes the next question. Jack, why didn’t you keep these emails so you could post them here?

I was new to Land Use when I got them and didn’t keep them!! I deleted them as fast as they came in. Why you ask? I got tired of reading the rants of another person’s beliefs!! If you want to sit down with me and DISCUSS our differences, then please tell me!! I have no problem with that!

You see, there is nothing that you and I can sit down to discuss that will change any on going litigation. “You” and I both know that!

Some of you have read my last two Articles and understand that I am not a “I want all Land for my Four Wheeler so I can run all over everything I can find” type of person! So why do some of you emailing US and think I am the enemy?

WE are PEOPLE who want to enjoy the OUR FORRESTS!

WE are PEOPLE who want to enjoy YELLOWSTONE IN ALL OF THE SEASONS!!

WE are PEOPLE who want to enjoy YOSEMITE WITHOUT TAKING A BUS!!


So quit emailing me like you think I can change the world!!
