Blair Will grew up in New York State's Hudson River Valley, a rural place of history and natural beauty but also a place where there is very little public land. There wasn't much off-roading to do and as a young driver Blair was more interested in sports cars than jeeps. He didn't discover the joys of jeep ownership until, after graduating from college in 1990, he moved to a small town in California's Sierra Nevada. Looking around at the vast expanses outside of town sparked an explorer's interest and, to facilitate these adventures, a jeep was purchased. Many days were spent surveying the high country from the driver's seat of a nearly stock XJ and a love of Jeeping was born.

After several years in the mountains and a few more in the Pacific Northwest Blair decided to return to California to pursue a degree in law. He is a 2000 graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law where he focused primarily on environmental law, public resource law, and land use planning. He remains a resident of San Diego where he enjoys four wheeling in the nearby deserts and exploring south of the border in Baja, Mexico. He lives with two cats in a house that, just to prove his priorities are in order, is not as big as his garage.
