June 17, 2001 Blair Will grew up in New York State's
Hudson River Valley, a rural place of history and natural beauty but also a
place where there is very little public land. There wasn't much off-roading
to do and as a young driver Blair was more interested in sports cars than
jeeps. He didn't discover the joys of jeep ownership until, after graduating
from college in 1990, he moved to a small town in California's Sierra
Nevada. Looking around at the vast expanses outside of town sparked an
explorer's interest and, to facilitate these adventures, a jeep was
purchased. Many days were spent surveying the high country from the driver's
seat of a nearly stock XJ and a love of Jeeping was born. Be sure to check out Blair's Land (ab)Use Column!
