I have come to believe that my CJ is a Levi Edition, because of the dash and rear seat and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the history of this type of jeep? I was just curious about it.
Thank ya!

If I remember right, during the swinging 70's,Levi's had some JEEP givaways at various retailers and in magazines. They had various interior parts lavished in denimn.I think they made just a few 100 or so.Still rather find the oringinal "Daisy Duke" CJ though.Just the thought of that front drivers seat.........

The Levi's Jeep was a special production item where nearly everything was denim...from the softtop to the seats. There are a few people that made their own versions of it. To my knowledge, I don't think it will increase or decrease the value of your rig. But it would be cool to have one.

My 1980 CJ-5 was a Levi edition. All the fabric was blue denim and had little Levi insig's on them. Other than that, it wasen't any different than any other jeep.

I've had two 78 CJ7's that both had the Levi's buttons on the back seat. One was a Golden Eagle with a green seat and the other was just a plain CJ with a tan seat. I'm guessing they must have done most, if not all back seats in 78 with the Levi buttons, regardless of model.
