Here are some pics of my CJ. Today my concern was to cut out the rusty old panels.

As you can see the passenger rocker panel was pretty bad

Driver side was not quite as bad.

The hood looks like it had some body filler work that was done poorly

After most of the body work is done i plan on dropping the T-Case and Tranny and installing some new seals and gaskets.

Cool, I had my rust spots patched up a couple years ago. Still a work in progress though.
So far one good thing that's come from this project is the wife is gettin better
at rollin her eyes and is quicker with the wise cracks. She can thank me later.
Remember, nothing says "Good job" like a firm, open palm smack on the behind.

You’re committed now...or is it you out to be committed now?[:D] Didn’t you just buy that thing? What are the plans for it, just to make it a solid, reliable clean driver, or are you going all out big for hard core trails?

I picked it up about 4 weeks ago for $1500. It runs and drives perfect. I plan on making it a clean driver as well as somthing i am not afraid to go beat up a little bit. Everything that is being reused ( Frame, body, axles etc...) is getting new paint as well has some work on the body. Im planning on a mild lift. Have been looking at the 4" Skyjacker lift. For tires ill most likely be running 33's. [8D]

This is becoming more work than i thought it would be[:0]Today i removed the Transfer case, Front fenders, rear floor pan and other misc crap.

I think im gonna pick up a tranny jack for the tranny. This thing nearly took off my finger. I was a dumb ass and though i could just pull it off lol. Little heavier than it looks.

Here is some rust if you dont know what it looks like [;)]

Rear floor pan took up a better part of the day.
